I was born and bred in Flagstaff. In 2013, I moved to Cape Town with a suitcase, carrying the hope of a new chapter.

I am an educator by profession, with more than nine years in education. My journey has also taken me through student leadership and public speaking — spaces where I have learnt the importance of listening, learning and finding your voice.

My book grew out of a difficult chapter of my life, including eight months in hospital. Writing became part of how I made sense of what I had experienced.

Today, my work brings together education, storytelling and speaking. Through my words and the spaces I enter, I want to make room for conversations about resilience, purpose, growth and second chances.
